Vitamin A (Retinol, Retinal) Function Used in the formation of skin, bones, and teeth. Helps maintain the surface linings of the eyes and the respiratory, urinary, and intestinal tracts. Signs of Vitamin A Deficiency Night blindness, susceptibility to disease, bumps on the skin, mainly on the back of the upper arm, shoulders, neck and buttocks, faulty tooth and bone formation.
